The "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" was never supposed to be made
The time is the late 80's and early 90's- Will Smith is getting very popular from his rap career. Of course everything was smooth sailing- until the IRS (internal Revenue Service) realized he owed taxes, 2.8 million dollars in taxes to be exact!
Obviously he needed money fast, and acting- which is not something he wanted to do- offered him this escape.
Of course the show became hugely successful, and soon he became one of the top actors to ever live.
