The cutest way to weigh an animal!

Owls, though feared by some for superstitious reasons, are some of the cutest animals in the world. There are a million facts that make them even cuter- like how they are weighed. As shown above, they are wrapped in a little blanket to keep them still, they look all snuggled up!

Other interesting owl facts:

1- Female owls are bigger and weigh more than males.

2- Owls do not have eyeballs, they have eye tubes.

3- Owls pupils do not get smaller like ours to keep out extra light during the day- and so they actually close their eyes (at least halfway) during the day!

4- The tiniest owl is called the elf owl, and it only is 6 inches tall.
