Hippos sweat red!
The hippopotamus, or hippo, is commonly known to be one of the most dangerous animals on planet earth. In fact, more humans are killed by hippos than any other animal every year. They look huge, so many think you could just out run them- not possible, they can run at 30 km/h- a lot faster than Usain Bolt. They live up to 40 years, and there are about 135,000 of them in the wild.
But a lot of people do not know that their sweat comes out red, and it can actually be used as an anti bacterial sun screen- as it is water resistant.
A really random fact about hippos is they mark their territories with poop, and to spread it as far and wide as possible, when they poop they spin their tails like a propeller!
