Italian singer sang a song with nonsense lyrics to prove Italians would sing anything in English..
An Italian artist, Adriano Celentana, believed that Italian people would sing along to anything- as long as it was in English. So he devised to plan to prove it- he wrote and sang a song called "Prisencolinensinainciusol"- and similar to the name, the song meant absolutely nothing.
He sang it with the aid of his wife- and he actually had a good reason behind the tune. He wanted to show the Italian public, that his fellow italian artists were only acting like they spoke and understood english- and that they were blatantly plagiarizing the english works..
He sang the song so it sounded like he was singing in english, but with an American accent. The song was supposed to be a satire- however it became really popular and actually skyrocketed to the top of the charts!
