Who said eating your boogers was bad for you?

Growing up, your parents probably have told you not to pick your nose- and you probably will tell your children the same. What is it about boogers that kids like so much? Well apparently it is the sugary taste to them... Why are they sugary? I dont know, but dont add them to your favourite breakfast cereal or anything.. Sorry, had to share my gross thought..

Anywaaays.. Studies have always proven that your body gets stronger with the introduction of germs and dirt to your system. Your body will fight these and it helps your immune system, or your body's defenses.  Actually here are a few things eating your boogers might help your system fight: allergies, asthma, eczema, autoimmune diseases, heart disease.. That last one is most interesting- scientists say that childhood viral infections could boost your immunity to heart disease by 90%.

You should actually avoid being "too" clean.. As we said before, this will kill weaken your immune system. Here are a few things to help you avoid that:

1. Let your kids play outside. Getting dirty is part of being a child, and eatng their boogers is not the end of the world.

2. Don't use anti bacterial soaps or other anti bacterial house products.. (This is what I have a problem with)

3. Avoid unnecessary antibiotics
