Watermelons in Japan are square!

Watermelon is delicious, I wouldn't change anything on them! But apparently their awkward shape is something they decided to change in Japan. They are easier to put in your fridge and you can stack them..

Only downfall, however, is these funky watermelons cost about $82 a piece! A bit pricey if you ask me- but don't worry, you can get the ordinary round ones for $15-$20..

They get their square shape by being grown in boxes.
