Police officers give their families special cards to get them out of trouble..

This might sound unfair to most of us, but in Philadelphia, "courtesy cards" exist. These are often given to the friends or family of a police officer and they allow the user to get out of minor offenses such as speeding or running a stop sign if given to a police officer while they're writing the ticket.

After looking at it Police officers might give the offender a "lucky break." Police commanders assure us that this does not mean that card holders are given a free pass- however it does mean that they get preferential treatment.
