Homeless kids huffing paint in Borneo, but why?

These homeless kids in Borneo are sniffing glue..

Glue in the US is often adulterated with mustard oil to make huffing uncomfortable. The same glues are sold internationally without it. Inhalants are often the cheapest and easiest intoxicants to purchase. They are sold by the drum for industrial purposes, and portions are doled out in baby food jars and plastic containers.

Why isn't the glue adulterated internationally? Because the companies selling it to the middlemen know exactly what it is being used for, and sales would plummet were these substances not being used as they are now.

Some believe the kids huff the glue to forget the hunger pangs... Either way very sad stuff
