In Russia it is now illegal to speak to children about homosexuality. A controversial bill was put in place whereby any mention whatsoever is a criminal offense. Other controversial parts of the bill included the prohibition of gay propaganda . Which could mean any counselling to young gay teens would be illegal.

As the bill was being signed- gay protesters outside of the parliament building kissed - but they were highly outnumbered by pro-bill supporters which led to fights broke out.
