Did you know that there is a guy who was bitten by poisonous snakes at least 173 times, he injected….

William Haast, known as the “Snake Man”, is famous for many things. Apart from being bitten at least 173 times by different species of poisonous snakes, he saved numerous lives thanks to his antibody rich blood.

From a scientist to a showman, Bill has made his name thanks to his extreme lifestyle. Not many people get to celebrate a new century, let alone live a full hundred years. What was the key to Bill’s long lifespan? Scientist believe it was his immunity system, which he strengthened with the mix of 32 snake species’ venom, which he’s been injecting in his body for over 60 years. Sounds deadly, doesn’t it?
He himself didn’t believe it was the reason for his super long lifespan, although he believed he’d live past a hundred years. The “Snakeman” turned 100 in December 2010 and passed away on June 15th 2011. Rest in peace, Bill Haast!
