Did you
know that there’s a reddish glacier in Antarctica called Bloody Falls, which
often pours red liquids, hence its gruesome name? The glacier actually derives
its waters from an extremely salty lake located right underneath it, trapped
nearly 1,300 feet under the ice. The “blood” is actually the effect of the
oxidized salty water.
