9/11 was one of the saddest days in American history- a series of events took place which not only changed America, but the world. The rescue efforts that took place after were amazing, but there were many fatalities from both people in the tower- but also rescuers as the towers came down.
After the towers fell, the rescue attempts did not seize, in fact rescue dogs were brought in to do as much as possible to find the survivors. But when they couldn't find any, the dogs started to get depressed that they were not doing a good job, so it became routine for rescuers to lie in the rubble, and pretend to be rescued to boost the morale of the dogs.
