Creepiest places on earth
1. Bodie, California-
During the American gold rush, gold mines were set up all over the west. Dwellers did not spend much time at home, as the norm was to: wake up early, find some gold before the others, come home late, sleep, repeat.
But when the gold was depleted, many towns were abandoned- such as this little place. After being turned into a national park, this abandoned town is now visitable to see what people lived like during this important event in America's history.
2. Holy Land Connecticut, USA-
Once an amusement park which depicted holy sites and scenes from the bible, the park was mildly popular. However it closed down for renovation, and while it was closed down the park owner died. No one really knew what to do with it, and so it was left closed, and managed by a group of nuns. The nuns do not do the best job of keeping up with the maintenance, and so every year it deteriorates more and more.
3. Ilha de Queimada Grande-
Beach paradise? Think again. This is one of the scariest places on earth because of snakes. In fact there are 5 snakes per every square meter on this island- home to the most venomous snakes in the world. The Brazilian navy has completely forbid any tourists from coming to this island.
4. San Zhi Resort, Taiwan
It was supposed to be one of the most modern and beautiful resorts in the world with incredible views and comfort fit for a king. However it was mysteriously shut down when a bunch of unexplained deaths happened at the location it was being built at (Ghosts?).
The place is now sadly abandoned.
5. Hellingly Hospital, England
Once a state of the art mental asylum with luxuries most hotels could not afford, such as its own rail line, ballroom, and land of over 63 acres! But now totally run down and deserted.
