How to tell how old fish are...

Here is something you might not have known- it is possible to tell how old fish are. Much like a tree where if you cut it in half- you can count the rings.. with a fish you can also tell how old it is... No you do not have to cut the fish in half- but what you can do is simply count the scales- every time they get a year older, they grow a new ring of scales around their body. in other words- you count the verticle scales from his head to his tail!
