Fun Fact about pigeons: the female pigeon cannot actually lay eggs if she is alone. In fact, in order for her ovaries to function, she must be within eye sight of another pigeon- male or female.
Even more fun fact: You can place a small mirror in the presence of a pigeon, and her own reflection will suffice!
Hence, being called, the forever alone pigeon.
