Ever wonder why we have pubic hair?

Do you ever wonder why we have "hair down there?" or why some of our hair (like on our heads) is finer than that of our pubic regions? 

Scientists once believed it was just hair remnants of a past time in our evolution- however at present, some scientists have made a point to explain it probably has to do more with our genitals scents.

Some people might think this sounds disgusting- but its logical. The pubic hair is there to trap pheromones, in order to attract the opposite sex. Obviously now we have scents from Calvin Klein or Tom Ford "Black Orchid" - So maybe clean your private parts well for everyone's sake...
