Did you know that you can’t join the police in US if you are too intelligent…



I’ve seen other stories like this and this makes me think that this is the typical hiring policy for police in many parts of the US.
This happened back in 1996 to a man named Robert Jordan, who wanted to become a policeman in Connecticut. The problem was that he scored too high on the intelligence test (33 points or IQ = 125).  Can you imagine his surprise when he found out that the police only interviewed candidates who scored from 20 to 27! So, Robert Jordan was told that his score is too high and he would probably get bored with the job too soon, so there is no point in applying for it. Mr. Jordan tried to sue them, but lost the case.
