A woman from New Jersey, Evelyn Adams. She won the lottery in two consecutive years – 1985 and 1986. Her total earnings amounted to $5.4 million. What a lucky woman! Here comes the interesting part.
A normal human being would satisfy the most urgent needs - would buy a car, a house or something else, then would spend a certain amount in extravagance (luxury travellings, yachts, jets). A smart person would set aside something to invest or at least would put it in a deposit in a bank. Evelyn, however, decided to spend the full amount in gambling in Atlantic City. The fate obviously didn’t like it, so nowadays Evelyn lives in a trailer and is completely broke.
